SACRED HEART MAKATI WEDDING REQUIREMENTS

CHURCH WEDDING REQUIREMENTS PHILIPPINES

To those who are planning to get married at The National Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Makati. Please be guided with the list of Sacred Heart Makati Wedding Requirements;
 

LIST OF SACRED HEART MAKATI WEDDING REQUIREMENTS:

1. You must attend a Canonical Interview. Canonical Interview can be scheduled after reservation, you can go directly to the Parish office to select the date. All interviews are held every WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY ONLY from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

2. Newly Issued Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate with an annotation saying “For Marriage Purposes” (to ensure that the contracting parties are singles) are required. *All Certificates are valid for 6 months only.

3. CENOMAR (Certificate of No MARRIAGE) – Single applicants must submit a Certificate of No Marriage acquired from and authenticated by National Statistic Office.  *Certificate is valid for 6 months only.

4. Couples must attend a Pre-Marriage Seminar or PRE-CANA, this type of seminar is given or scheduled every first Saturday of the Month only (12:30 to 5:30 PM).

5. Marriage Banns & Permission – Request letter will be provided by the Parish Office at least 6 months before the wedding date. The wedding will be posted and announced in their parishes.

6. Marriage License – This can be obtained from the city/municipality hall of the current place of residence of both bride and groom. *Date of issue must be before the scheduled wedding date. *License expires after 120 Days.

7. Certificate of Freedom to Marry (For Filipino Citizen living abroad for more 6 months)
-certificate ca be acquired from a catholic priest or Protestant Minister if non catholic.

8. Marriage Certificate – Couples who are already married (civil) must submit an ORIGINAL COPY of their Marriage certificate issued by the Local Civil Registry of NSO of the town or city where the marriage was contracted.

9. Affidavit of Marriage – For couples who are living together as husband and wife without the benefit of marriage for at least 5 Years. Couple has to prepare an affidavit and have it notarized (4 copies) together with the birth certificates of the children they had since from the start of their living together and until at present.

10. For Widow or Widower – Death Certificate of Spouse must be submitted.
