THE PROPER FEET CARE:

Feet are too important to overlook, but they are probably the last part of the body that we think about (… unless they are hurting). They are the most abused and often used part of our body, they absorb our full weight and keep us in balanced in order to stand upright.

Our feet deserve a proper attention and care! There are lots of problems that we might encounter if we don’t pay much attention and give extra care to our feet like fungal infections, cracked skin, foot odor, etc.

Taking good care of our feet is easy!

STEPS ON HOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR FEET:

1. WASH YOUR FEET DAILY – Our feet are always exposed to dirt and dust. When taking a bath/shower, make sure to lather them up with soap and always pay attention to the spaces between toes. Do not go to bed without washing your feet, dirt on your feet can cause infection and irritation as well. Dry your feet thoroughly after washing. Give your feet a treat! Try to massage your feet especially after a long walk!

2. SMOOTH THEM OUT – Everyone wants to have a nice looking feet in back shoes! You, will achieve this by using pumice stone or foot pile on moist heels and calluses. Soak your feet in water or foot bath for 10 to 15 minutes to soften the skin. Then, gently remove the thickened skin (back and forth motion) by using pumice stone. Mildly scrape your heels, the bottoms of your feet and toes.

4. MOISTURIZE YOUR FEET – Apply foot lotion or cream as part of your daily routine. Use petroleum jelly before bedtime to have a soft and moisturized feet. (Please do not over moisturize the area between toes for it can cause fungal infection).

5. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES – If you have to wear high heels at work, atlist try to wear comfortable shoes to and from the office, so your feet can breathe! When buying shoes, try to shop in the afternoon (feet swell as day goes) to make sure that they fit well.

6. Always TRIM YOUR TOENAILS straight across to avoid ingrown toenails!

7. WEAR CLEAN SOCK – Change your socks daily!
