1. Sleeping on your left side – People may not think it matters which side they lie on when they go to bed, but studies have shown that there are many health benefits that a person can get from sleeping this way.

Sleeping on the left side helps the blood flows to organs assisting the spleen and intestines work more effectively. It reduces the symptoms of acid reflux; one hypothesis is that left side sleeping keeps the junction between the stomach and esophagus above the level of gastric acid.

2. Do not brush immediately after eating!
Brushing right after a meal is not recommended, as acidic food or drinks and even healthy foods like fruit and vegetables are often very acidic and can soften the tooth enamel which raises the risk of tooth damage. Waiting for about 30 minutes to one hour before brushing the teeth is better than brushing right after eating.

3. Avoid bright lights before going to sleep.
The blue lights coming from mobile devices or any other bright lights at night affect the production of Melatonin, a hormone that helps us sleep. Low melatonin in some studies shows an increased risk of cancer. Some people like to read before going to bed; switching to a paper book is a better alternative, or if using screen is unavoidable a pair of amber-tinted glasses can be beneficial as it can reduce the blue lights from screens.

4. Drink Wine
Wine contain polyphenols which reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. They also have antibacterial that is effective against the streptococcus bug. Wine is best enjoyed in moderation.

5. Playing an instrument
Playing instruments has many health benefits it improves hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. According to experts, it can increase the IQ by 7 points and its never too late to start. Kids and Adults can both enjoy these health benefits. Adults playing an instrument also helps lower blood pressure.

6. Playing Videogames
Playing video game the whole day is a different story, it should be done in moderation and should still try to keep the screen time to two hours or less. Playing video games reduces stress and depression and helps relieve physical pain.

7. Internet Surfing
We all have heard about how unhealthy it is to spend the whole day surfing the internet, but sometimes surfing the internet is healthy. Researchers in UCLA discovered searching the web whose brain health in those middle-aged and older it may even slow some of the effects of aging on the brain by stimulating areas that control language memory and complex reasoning just make sure you take breaks while doing so.

8. Get a Pet
