Baguio is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines because of its cool climate as this place is situated at approximately 1,540 meters or 5,050 feet above sea level in the Luzon tropical pine forests ecoregion. This place 240 Kilometers away from the city Capital of Manila. The average travel time from Manila to Baguio is around 6-7 Hours by bus or maybe a little shorter if you take the night trips.

In random order, here are some of the Baguio Tourist Spots that you may want to include in your itinerary:

BEST OF BAGUIO: BAGUIO TROURIST SPOTS

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #1: Bell Church or Bell Temple
Some would say that this is a picture-perfect place, well, I would not argue as Chinese architectural designs such as Pagoda and statues of Chinese warrior and dragons can be seen here. A solemn place perfect for people looking for someplace to reflect in. There is no entrance fee. It is located at the North of the downtown area of Baguio along the road leading to the town of La Trinidad Benguet.

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #2: Wright Park
Great park for chilling or walking. If you want horseback riding and see a beautiful scenery you have to include it in your itinerary. Horseback riding costs around Php200. This is also perfect for picture taking (picture with St. Bernard dog Php50, wearing a traditional clothe Php20, riding a horse Php20). Souvenir stores are all over the place. It is located at the eastern part of the city and in front of the main gate of the famous The Mansion.

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOTS #3: Botanical Garden
Admission is free! It’s a great place to just slow down and appreciate nature. There are some tables where you can have a picnic with family or friends. Tunnels and themed sites like Japanese, Korean, Chinese etc. can be seen. Souvenirs are a little cheaper here.

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #4: Mines View Park
You’ll see the view of the mountains here, actually, mountains are now greener than it used to be. I Suggest visiting this place early in the morning so you can enjoy the view and avoid the crowd.

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #5: Mount Pulag
A majestic Sea of clouds. Mt. Pulag is the third highest mountain in the Philippines and the highest mountain in Luzon. Highly recommended for hiking! The place is magnificent especially when you reach the peak of the mountain. It is also perfect for soul-searching. The ambiance is perfect if you want to refresh your mind and witness one of nature’s gift. If you plan to hike on a ber-month bring a heater. It’s super cold!

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #6: Camp John Hay
great place to relax and enjoy the environment. It has a fantastic golf course and great caddies. Perfect place to ride a bike. expensive for non-members.

BAGUIO TOURIST SPOT #7: Burnham Park
This place is recommended for families, especially for kids. Burnham Park in summer is awesome! It is a paradise with all the flowers bloom. You can do boat rides or rent bikes for a minimal fee.

Baguio Tourist Spot #8 Bencab
Showcases works of local artists in its museum. Guests also have an option to roam around the property with its guided eco trail. It has its own cafe as well. This is a bit far from the city. Entrance fee is P150

Baguio Tourist Spot #9 Strawberry Farm
The best time to visit strawberry farm is in the morning and on the months of Dec to February. Strawberries are sold for P100/kg. If you want strawberries to be handpicked by you or your family pricing will be at Php450/kilo as you are paying for the experience, try it and your entire family will surely love it!

Baguio Tourist Spots #10 Tam-Awan Village
Tam-Awan is a cultural village and art center built by local artists with a purpose of showcasing and preserving the heritage of Cordillera. If you are into arts and culture or just in search of the perfect background for your next profile picture, this place is for you. The place is fascinating because of its unique and peaceful ambiance. I suggest that you follow the eco-trail as suggested on the map so you can see everything. Not really recommended for elderly as it requires climbing some steep stairs to fully explore the whole village.
